Q: Are there any common implementation challenges or lessons learned we should know about upfront?
Honestly, onboarding has been remarkably smooth to date. There’s really just one thing we work hard to get right, plus a tool that makes it even easier.
The one thing to get right: the access code.
The main piece of information we focus on conveying to participants is how to use their unique access code. You’ll see it emphasized throughout our introductory materials and on the lobby homepages. Worth knowing: participants can hold more than one account on the platform, so there’s no harm done if someone accidentally joins the public community first — they can still log into your client account without issue. Even so, we take care to keep the path clear and easy, both in the app and in the supporting materials.
A tool that makes onboarding even easier: the Invite QR Code.
One of our more recent additions is the Challenges Invite QR Code. Every live challenge generates its own unique QR code that you can drop into emails, print materials, or the web. When a participant who has the app scans it, they’re taken straight to that challenge’s “Join” button. It’s been an excellent way to onboard people into specific challenges — and it smooths general onboarding at the same time.
The takeaway? Implementation rarely trips clients up. Point people clearly to their access code, lean on the QR codes to remove friction, and onboarding tends to take care of itself.
